SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ANOKA CITY COUNCIL
ANOKA CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2022, AT 7:30 A.M.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 A.m. by Mayor Phil Rice.
Present: Mayor Phil Rice, Councilmembers: Barnett, Skogquist and Weaver.
Absent: Councilmember Wesp.
Staff: Assistant City Manager Amy Oehlers.
3.1 Canvass of November 8, 2022 Municipal General Results.
RESOLUTION NO. 2020-081
This special meeting was held for the purpose of canvassing election returns of the Tuesday, November 8, 2022
Municipal General Election, pursuant to Section 4.08 of the Anoka City Charter.
Assistant City Manager, Amy Oehlers reviewed the City election returns from the eight precincts for the Mayoral
position and the Councilmember seats. Ms. Oehlers presented a summary of the results.

The following named persons, having received the most votes, and have duly been elected to office:
Mayor: Phil Rice (2 yr term, expiring 12/31/2024)
City Councilmember: Sam Scott (4 yr term, expiring 12/31/2026)
City Councilmember: Erik Skogquist (4 yr term, expiring 12/31/2026)
Ms. Oehlers provided the Council with additional election statistics, results, ballot sample, etc., regarding
elections for the City of Anoka. This was provided for informational purposes only.
A motion was made by Councilmember Weaver and seconded by Councilmember Skogquist to adopt the
Resolution Canvassing the Municipal Election Returns for the November 8, 2022 Municipal General Election.
Vote taken: All ayes.
Councilmembers express appreciation to the staff and the Election Judges for all of their hard work during this
Election cycle.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Anoka City Council at this Special Meeting, Councilmember
Weaver made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Councilmember Skogquist seconded the motion. Vote taken: All
Ayes. The Special Meeting adjourned at 7:40 a.m.
