CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, was held on November 28, 2016, at the Apache Junction City Council Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law. Vice Mayor Barker called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Present 5- Vice Mayor Barker Councilmember Evans Council Member Rizzi Councilmember Serdy Councilmember Wilson Absent 2- Mayor Insalaco Councilmember Waldron Staff Present: City Manager Bryant Powell Assistant City Manager Matt Busby City Clerk Kathleen Connelly City Attorney Joel Stern Public Safety Director Tom Kelly Others Present: Public Information Officer Al Bravo AGENDA ITEMS 1. 16-545 Consideration for approval of Resolution No. 16-33, declaring and adopting the results of the general election held on November 8, 2016. This item was continued from the November 15, 2016 regular meeting due to final results not being available from both Maricopa County and Pinal County required for this canvass of votes. Vice Mayor Barker called for a motion. Councilmember Rizzi MOVED THAT RESOLUTION NO. 16-33, A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES, ARIZONA, DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2016, BE APPROVED. Councilmember Evans SECONDED THE MOTION. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion carried. ADJOURNMENT Vice Mayor Barker adjourned the special meeting at 6:03 p.m. City of Apache Junction, Arizona Page 2
