ARMADA TOWNSHIP BOARD SPECIAL MTG. & WORK SESSION MINUTES 23121 East Main Street Armada, MI 48005 January 21, 2020 7 p.m. Call to Order: At 7:06 p.m.by Clerk Swiacki Pledge of Allegiance Members present: Nikkel, Finlay, Goetzinger, and Swiacki Members absent: Paterek PUBLIC COMMENTS: Bill Calvin NEW BUSINESS: Richmond Township Fire Contract: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Finlay to have Supervisor send a letter by certified mail to Richmond Township Supervisor no later than February 3 a proposal for fire services for three years beginning June 30, 2020 at a rate of $60,000 for the first year and $10,000 increase for the second year and $10,000 increase for the third year. Ayes: Nikkel, Goetzinger, Finlay, Swiacki Motion CARRIED Blake Tech Exp Realty: Listing for Bordman & McPhall properties: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Goetzinger to list Bordman property for $80,000 and McPhall property for $86,000 with Blake Tech Exp Realty and to have Supervisor and Clerk sign contract. Ayes: Finlay, Goetzinger, Nikkel, Swiacki Motion CARRIED Fire Dept: Fire Hall Remodel Proposal: Motion by Finlay seconded by Nikkel to table until the next meeting. Motion CARRIED Water & Sewer Project: Waiver of Potential Conflict of Interest – Foster Swift: Motion by Goetzinger seconded by Swiacki, to authorize the Township Clerk to sign the Waiver of Potential Conflict of Interest as prepared by Foster-Swift. Ayes: Nikkel, Finlay, Goetzinger, Swiacki Motion CARRIED WORK SESSION: FY20/21 fire fund and general fund proposed budgets. No formal actions were taken.
