ARMADA TOWNSHIP BOARD Regular Meeting Minutes 23121 East Main Held Electronically & In Person Armada, MI 48005 March 9, 2022 7:00 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING – Truth in Budgeting CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Paterek MEMBERS PRESENT: Murray, Goetzinger, Swiacki, Paterek MEMBERS ABSENT: Grembi OPEN PUBLIC HEARING: Motion by Paterek seconded by Swiacki to open public hearing at 7:01 p.m. Motion CARRIED Public Comments: Monica Job is very opposed to the 5.9% wage increase. Shawn Erb appreciated Gary’s’ management of the park. Having new lights will increase games from 96 to 192 by having night games. The ABA hosts an annual tournament with 60 teams. They would like to institute softball and kick ball by having lighting. He hopes the board votes yes on the lighting for the park. Marcia Hollins supports the 5.9% wage increase. It is well worth the service we receive. Rose Sharbonneau is opposed to the single waste hauler. Why would she pay for something she will not use. Said to put to the voters. There should be an out for people who do not want it. Things are being well managed at the county level. Funds are planned to be utilized for much needed underground infrastructure.
