ARMADA TOWNSHIP BOARD Special Meeting Minutes 23121 East Main Armada, MI 48005 January 30, 2024 6:00 p.m. MINUTES CALL TO ORDER: 6 p.m. by Supervisor Paterek. MEMBERS PRESENT: Murray, Paterek, Goetzinger, Swiacki Job – Arrived at 6:04 p.m. MEMBERS ABSENT: None SET/AMEND AGENDA: (Amending agenda was set aside until Trustee Job was present). PUBLIC COMMENT: None NEW BUSINESS: New Hire – Staff Assistant: Motion by Paterek seconded by Swiacki to hire Katherine Pace at $16.75 per hour starting on February 1, 2024 as Staff Assistant. All Ayes Motion CARRIED Fire Chief Contract: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Murray to approve Steve Kohut’s employment contract as amended with changes per board discussion. All Ayes Motion CARRIED SET/AMEND AGENDA: Motion by Paterek seconded by Swiacki to amend agenda due to time sensitive issues. Add: Board of Review Appointment John Young and Boo Boo’s Boneyard Application for Leave to Appeal. All Ayes Motin CARRIED Board of Review (Replacement) Appointment: Motion by Paterek seconded by Swiacki to appoint John Young to the Board of Review to take over the remainder of Rachel Achatz’s term through December 31, 2025. All Ayes Motion CARRIED Boo Boo’s Boneyard, LLC: Application for Leave to Appeal: Motion by Paterek seconded by Swiacki to allow Christine Anderson draft a reply brief to the court stating our position on the court’s decision to uphold the Zoning Board of Appeals decision.
