ARMADA TOWNSHIP BOARD Regular Meeting Minutes 23121 East Main Held Electronically & In Person Armada, MI 48005 July 10, 2024 7:00 p.m. REGULAR MEETING CALL TO ORDER: Supervisor Paterek called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Job, Goetzinger, Swiacki, Paterek MEMBERS ABSENT: Murray, excused SET/AMEND AGENDA: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Goetzinger to approve consent agenda as presented Motion CARRIED PUBLIC COMMENTS: Steve Nikkel, Gail Hicks, Van Snyder, Monica Job, Marcia Hollins, Chris Krotche, Robin Spalding and Marcia Ventimiglia. CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS: (a) Approval of Minutes: Regular Meeting Minutes June 12, 2024 (b) Current Bills totaling $ 177,502.92 (c) Revenue and Expenditure Report (d) Department Reports Motion by Swiacki seconded by Job to approve consent agenda items as presented. All Ayes Motion CARRIED CORRESPONDENCE/INFORMATION: Fire Department FOIA Coordinator: Clerk stated that Fire Chief Kohut is the appointed designee for Fire Department FOIA’s. Blake’s Farm: Clerk read email from Andrew Blake into the record regarding Court of Appeals filing. Assessor: Supervisor read email from Assessor Tom Schlicting into the record regarding Blake’s Court of Appeals case. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Seibert & Dloski, PLLC – Invoice # 13040: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Job to pay bill in the amount of $3,100 as presented. All Ayes Motion CARRIED NEW BUSINESS: Attorney at all board meetings: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Job to have attorney present at all board meetings. Ayes: Swiacki, Job Nays: Goetzinger, Paterek Motion FAILED Armada Township Fire Department Community Safety Fee Schedule – Resolution # 2024-05: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Job to approve resolution as presented and to publish fee schedule accordingly. All Ayes Motion CARRIED Blake’s Farm, Inc. V Armada Township – Tax Appeal: Motion by Job seconded by Goetzinger to have attorney represent Armada Township at the tax tribunal. All Ayes Motion CARRIED Master Plan – Resolution #2024-07: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Job to approve resolution #2024-07 as presented. All Ayes Motion CARRIED Staff Assistant – Increase in budget: No action. Administrative Policies and Procedures – Updates: Motion by Swiacki seconded by Goetzinger to approve updates to Section 4.0 B 9 (page10); Section 7.2 F (page 36) and Section 14.0 Appendix II (page 44) All Ayes Motion CARRIED PUBLIC COMMENT: BOARD MEMBERS: Trustee Goetzinger, Trustee Job, Treasurer Murray, Clerk Swiacki and Supervisor Paterek.
