NOTICE OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING The Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Athens, Alabama, will hold a work session at 5:00 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the ​City Council Chambers at City Hall, at 200 W. Hobbs Street, on ​Thursday, November 21, 2019, for the purpose of hearing the following applications and appeals. Approval of Minutes Case #1 Request of Lindsay Lane Christian Academy for a variance to allow for the approval of pole banners to be installed on light poles as well as a variance to increase the amount of attached accessory signage from 60 square feet to 62.5 square feet (an increase of 2.5 square feet), located at 705 West Sanderfer Road in an INST, Institutional District. Case #2 Request of William Gibson & Leonel White for a variance to reduce the rear-yard setback of a home from 40’ to 26’ (a reduction of 14’) to allow for the construction of a deck, located at 17432 Clearview Street, in an R-1-1 Single Family Residential District.
