NOTICE OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING The Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Athens, Alabama, will hold a work session at 5:00 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, at 200 W. Hobbs Street, on Thursday, June 18, 2020, for the purpose of hearing the following applications and appeals. At this time, the applicant and all interested parties are requested to make their presence known and will be given the opportunity to be heard. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the City will be streaming the meeting online in a way that allows members of the public to listen to, observe, or to participate in the meeting. Approval of Minutes Case #1 Request of Hill Foley Rossi for a Variance to required minimum off-street parking spaces from 59 parking space to 44 parking spaces (a reduction of 15 parking spaces) for Chick-fil-A at 1291 US Hwy 72 East, in a B-2 General Business District. Case #2 Request of Adams Homes for a Variance to the setbacks such that the north corner of the house is situated 10.6 feet from the north lot line, and the east corner of the house is situated 29.7 feet from the east property line, located at 227 Summit Lakes Drive, in an R-1-1 Low Density Single-Family Residential District.
