NOTICE OF BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT (BOZA) MEETING The Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Athens, Alabama, will hold a work session at 5:00 p.m., followed by the regular meeting (IN-PERSON) at 5:30 p.m., this meeting will be held at the City Council Chambers at 200 Hobbs Street West, Athens, Alabama, on Thursday, May 20, 2021, for the purpose of hearing the following applications and appeals. At this time, the applicant and all interested parties are requested to make their presence known and will be given the opportunity to be heard. Zoned R-1-3 High Density single Family Residential. Case #2 Request of Austin Zeke Jackson at address 605 Highway 31 South - Suite D, Special Exception and a variance request for the Area of Sign Face. Zoned B2 – General Business District. Case #3 Request of Henry Higginbotham at address 1703 Foxcroft Drive, for a Variance request of a building setback to add a 2-car garage to an existing garage, subdivision plat has no rear setback. Zoned R-1-1 Low Density Single Family Residential. Case #4 Request of Athens Family Health Center at address 1005 Market Street West, regarding an Appeal and a Variance request for an Area of Sign Face to replace existing letters with new 45sf.
