Minutes Approval
o Marissa motioned to approve both January and February minutes. Mark seconded.
Office Roles
o Kimberly, Madeline, Esra, and Victoria will be rolling off after this meeting –
thank you for your service!
o Marissa has shown interest in the secretarial role.
Kimberly motioned to approve, Madeline seconded. All in favor.
o We are still searching for a chair and vice chair. There is a treasurer role based on
our bylaws but it can stay vacant.
Staff Reports:
o BAC Training – All members should complete training ASAP.
o The Google group will be phased out. All members should verify access to their
ACC Gov email as it will be the primary communication method moving forward.
o Open call for new members to join the commission through March 17th.
Members are encouraged to share the application. Francis, Mark, Montu, and
Jessica volunteered to participate in the virtual interviews.
Francis suggested advertising the call at the Juried Exhibition opening
tomorrow
Project Reports
o New Poet Laureate announced
first appearance at the Lantern Parade
will open the April (poetry month) mayor and commission meeting with a
poem
o Lantern Parade March 16th
People will start gathering around 7:30
There will be a bike valet
Performers along the parade route
o Greenway mural announcement
o Upcoming Firefly sculpture announcement soon
o Arena art relocation – April Mayor and Commission meeting
Artist hasn’t done the redesign yet, will do that when the new location is
officially approved. It will be the same approximate height but with more
negative space.
Outreach
o Francis will be chairing the committee moving forward. Jessica and Montu will
also serve on this committee. Tatiana will place committee meetings on the
calendar with an agenda but do not need to be live-streamed. Decisions will be
presented to the full commission for voting.

seconded.
Kimberly Davis motioned to approve Marissa Chastain in the secretary role. Madeline
Blankenship seconded. All in favor.
