1. Call to Order
a. Meeting called to order at 4:04 pm.
2. Agenda approval
a. Randy motioned. Teresa seconded. Agenda approved.
3. Approval of Minutes (2:06)

b. Verbal review of minutes from Special called meeting on paving
4. Public Comments
a. Lack of access to Greenway trail near Mama’s boy due to parking.
5. Park Planning (10:13)
a. Cemetery bridge work completed structural work. Will begin tunnel pass and pouring
concrete towards bridge.
b. Carr’s Creek Greenway segment – piece to Carriage Lane this summer
c. Oak/Oconee St bridge replacement scheduled for Oct ’22 – will connect Greenway
d. Firefly Trail Phase 2 – crossing that will tie into TPW parking lot progressing forward
e. Firefly Trail bridge – steel arches delayed until March 28th
6. Bike/PED Coordinator (18:55)
a. CDBG Grant – Leisure Services (4 projects funded) Trail Creek, Elizabeth St, Little Oak St,
Walker Park
b. Parklet concepts – many ACC departments working to make permanent; proposal for
rubber speed table at entrance to parklet to create a protective barrier and need to be
ADA accessible
c. RAISE Grant update (North Ave) – project “highly recommended”, but benefit-cost
analysis resulted in the project not being funded. Being re-evaluated and adjusted.
d. Vision Zero – met with consultants to discuss next steps
e. Set up meetings with Northeast Georgia Regional Commission NEGRC – keep up on
projects
f. Winterville Complete Streets and Trails Master Plan
g. Clayton St bike racks – 15 proposed from Lumpkin to Thomas St
h. UGA Auxiliary Services “Watch for Dawgs” program – GOHS grant
7. Housekeeping (1:00:55)
a. AiMC activities/capacity spreadsheet
8. TSPLOST 2023 update (1:05:00)
a. Mayor & Commission have approved CDO
b. AiM projects approved – Prince Ave corridor (adjusted), Big bucket
c. How do we as a commission want to proceed? What is our message? To be discussed
within Education & Communication subcommittee
9. AIMC Committees (1:26:50)
a. UGA – Bicycle registration on campus discussion, Bikeshare program sending RFP
b. Grants and Data – People for Bikes grant proposal, lane separators, AARP grant
opportunity; obligatory “Blinky Flashy” hand sign from LB;
c. Policy and Projects – Complete Streets presentation needs visuals, reviewing bike
ordinances around other college towns
d. Education and Communication – Meeting with consultant on 02/24/22
e. Greenway – no updates
