Aaron seconded. Minutes approved. 5. Housekeeping a. Committees list: create contact info list for committee members b. Commissioner expiration dates and renewal process i. Commissioners will need to re-apply 6. Complete Streets Update (9:18) a. Commissioners voted not to add it to consent agenda (has not been removed) 7. Oglethorpe Ave at Hawthorne Bike (13:01) a. T&PW met with Benesch. Working on 85% plans. b. Discussed various options to improve bicycle safety. c. Teresa motioned that we recommend to M&C that we work with the consultants to add bike lanes at the intersection of Hawthorne/Oglethorpe and along Oglethorpe Ave  connect existing “broken” bike lanes. Needs to be done with minimal impact ot existing businesses. Randy seconded. Motion passed. 8. Communications Plan Update (34:40) a. Met with consultants and discussed strategy, logos b. Reviewed various logos (developed by Ellen) c. Survey will be sent out for feedback 9. Park Planning (1:02:05) a. Trestle is moving along. Wooden poles will be set August 8th, bridge will open January 2023. b. Cemetery on scheduled for late Fall completion. c. Firefly 3 is working through easement agreements and awaiting TSPLOST votes d. Carr’s Creek Greenway extension – still in design stage 10. Bike/PED Coordinator (1:09:33) a. Bike lights – do we want to fund some bike lights to donate to the community i. Mark motioned to purchase quality bike lights (up to $1,000) that will be donated to Bike Athens for distribution to the community. Teresa seconded. Motion approved. b. Purchase tabling items (tent, tables, brochure holders). Teresa will price out items c. Streetlight data, identifying bicycle activity in Athens d. W. Broad roundabout – public input closed, collecting data and moving to design e. W. Broad/Atl highway GDOT – road safety audit, will be distributed to AiM 11. Corridor committees (1:40:20) a. Atlanta Hwy Corridor – GDOT interested in re-visiting intersection of Atl Hwy & Timothy Rd/Mitchell Bridge b. Lexington Rd Corridor – plans presented to M&C. Will schedule public engagement meetings and seek feedback c. Prince Ave Corridor – meeting to describe planning for 3 lane pilot project 12. AIMC Committees (1:47:15) a. Grants and Data – met and discussed SS4A grant. Did not receive AARP grant for greenway benches. b. Policy and Projects – Randy is new chair. Prioritizing bike ordinances. c. Education and Communication – Logos & Communications 13. Other Committees (1:53:10) a. UGA – Baldwin St trestle closed to vehicle traffic (thank you, Daniel) b. Greenway – no updates c.
