The minutes were approved unanimously Minutes Housekeeping (3:48) May 28 Meeting • Will still keep May 28 meeting, which falls after Memorial Day • Believe we will have quorum Major Items (6:23) Bike Rack Survey Rany Halstead, Policy & Projects Chair • Survey to place bike rack locations for upcoming 40 bike racks o Currently only open internally, might open to community partners Marigold Festival Tabling Julie Jaeger, Education and Communications Chair • May 11th - Winterville • Will work out staffing at Thursday meeting (goal is 1-2 people at a time) Staff Updates (29:20) Park Planning Todd Miller, Park Planning Coordinator • Firefly Trail East Broad Street – Contractor installing granite walls, bollards, and completing water fountain • Firefly Traill Expansion Phase III – SPLOST office still working on acquiring easements • Greenway Trail Expansion – Oak/Oconee St Bridge Greenway underpass – Bridge plans out to bid. Construction to begin in Fall. Greenway Trail Project bid date would be Summer 2024 Transportation and Public Works Daniel Sizemore, Bike, Pedestrian and Safety Coordinator Katie Goodrum, Vision Zero Coordinator 2  • Grant support requested o FY25 Senate Appropriations Request – completed • Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods o Starting within the next six months • April M&C Vote – o Crosswalk Policy approved with CDO that included additional funding • Projects Update o Sent memo to Manager Williams about Safe Streets to Schools o Barber Street Project ■ Fieldwork and survey for base map enhancements o Athens in Motion Plan Update ■ Working with Toole Design Committee/Org Reportback (1:06:0) Corridor Committees • Atlanta Highway - Teresa Friedlander – no updates • Lexington Road - Randy Halstead – no updates • Prince Avenue - Lauren Blais – meeting tomorrow.
