Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration Regular Meeting Minutes October 20, 2020 @ 4:30 PM Virtual Meeting (due to COVID-19 precautions) https://youtu.be/3MBCKg6j5Iw The meeting of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections was held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 via youtube. Jesse Evans, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 4:33 pm. Board Members present: Willa Fambrough, Secretary; Rocky Raffle, Board Member; Charles Knapper, Vice Chairperson; Patricia Till, Board Member; Board Members absent: NONE Others Present: Charlotte Sosebee, Director; Judd Drake, ACCGU Attorney; Deborah Lonon, ACCGU Asst. Reading of the Board Member Oath of Office [OCGA § 21-2-70] “I do swear (or affirm) that I will as a member of the board of elections duly attend all ensuing primaries and elections during the continuance thereof, that I will to the best of my ability prevent any fraud, deceit, or abuse in carrying on the same, that I will make a true and perfect return of such primaries and elections, and that I will at all times truly, impartially, and faithfully perform my duties in accordance with Georgia laws to the best of my judgment and ability.” B. Approve Minutes of Previous Meetings (3:00) Motion made by Ms. Fambrough to approve the September 15, 2020 regular session meeting. Motion 2nd by Mr. Knapper. Motion passed unanimously. Motion made by Mr. Raffle to approve the minutes for the September 18, 2020 special called meeting. Motion 2nd by Mr. Knapper. Motion passed unanimously. Motion made by Mr. Raffle to approve the minutes for the September 28, 2020 Special called meeting. Motion second by Ms. Fambrough. Motion passed unanimously. C. Adopt Agenda (8:44) Motion made by Mr. Knapper to adopt the agenda. Motion 2nd by Mr. Raffle. Motion passed unanimously. D. New Business  General Election - Nov 3rd, 2020  Select Board's Representative for the Vote Review Panel (2:05) Motion made by Mr. Raffle to nominate Dr. Joseph Carter to represent the Athens Clarke County Board of Elections for the November 3, 2020 Election Vote Review. Motion 2nd by Mr. Evans. 3:2:1 Mr. Raffle, Mr. Evans and Mr. Knapper voted yes. Ms. Till-No, Ms. Fambrough abstained.  Select regular meeting dates for Nov 2020 & Dec 2020 (2:10:53) Motion made by Ms. Till to have regular meeting dates for November 10, 2020 at 4:30PM & December 8, 2020 at 4:00 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
