Minutes - Special Meeting Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration April 9, 2021 @ 4:30pm Due to COVID-19 precautions, this meeting was livestreamed and can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spani6X0eL0 Bylaws of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (bit.ly/accboerbylaws) Chair Fambrough called the meeting to order at 4:33. In attendance were Willa Fambrough, Chairperson; Rocky Raffle, Vice Chairperson; Adam Shirley, Secretary; Ann Till, Member; and Hank Qadir, Member. Others in attendance were Charlotte Sosebee, Director; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant; Aletha Perkins, Administrative Assistant; Judd Drake, County Attorney; and Sherrie Hines, Assistant County Attorney. A. The Board Member Oath of Office (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-70) was read by Mr. Shirley. B. There was no public comment to be read. C. New Business 1. MOTION that Director Sosebee act as the Secretary of State’s aide to deliver the draft court order to a Superior Court Judge for Athens-Clarke County along with the letter from the Secretary of State to Ms. Hines regarding this request in order to request that the clerk of court release the absentee ballot oath envelopes and absentee by mail ballot signature cure affidavit forms, as specified in that letter. Seconded by Mr. Qadir. Yea: Mr. Qadir, Mr. Raffle, Mr. Shirley, Ms. Till. Nay: Ms. Fambrough. 2. MOTION by Mr. Raffle to table this agenda item until our April 13 meeting. Seconded by Mr. Shirley. Approved unanimously. D. Announcements 1. April Regular Meeting i. April 13, 2021 @ 4:30pm E. MOTION by Mr. Qadir to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Raffle. Approved unanimously. Adjourned at 5:19.
