Minutes - Regular Meeting Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration June 8, 2021 @ 4:30pm 2555 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605 Due to COVID-19 precautions, this meeting was livestreamed and can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faoIyLxYaEY Bylaws of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (bit.ly/accboerbylaws) Chair Fambrough called the meeting to order at 4:31. In attendance were Willa Fambrough, Chairperson; Rocky Raffle, Vice Chairperson; Adam Shirley, Secretary; and Ann Till, Member. Others in attendance were Charlotte Sosebee, Director; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant; and Sherrie Hines, Assistant County Attorney. A. The Board Member Oath of Office (O.C.G.A. § 21-2-70) was read by Mr. Shirley. B. MOTION by Mr. Shirley to adopt the agenda. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. C. MOTION by Mr. Raffle to approve Minutes from May 11, 2021, regular meeting. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. D. There was no public comment to be read. E. Director’s Report Director Sosebee presented the Director’s Report. MOTION by Mr. Shirley to amend the agenda by adding to New Business the item regarding reporting to the Secretary of State the issue of the Georgia/Florida voter. Seconded by Mr. Raffle. Approved unanimously. F. Old business was discussed. G. New Business 1. MOTION by Mr. Raffle to permit Director Sosebee and staff to get information to the State Election Board on the issue of a person double-voting in two states: Florida and Georgia. Seconded by Mr. Shirley. Approved unanimously. H. Announcements 1. July Regular Meeting a. July 13, 2021 @ 4:30pm I. MOTION by Mr. Shirley to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Raffle. Approved unanimously.
