Minutes - Regular Meeting Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration March 14, 2023, 4:30pm 120 W Dougherty Street, Athens, GA 30601 Bylaws of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (bit.ly/accboebylaws) Chair Raffle called the meeting to order at 5:16pm. In attendance were Rocky Raffle, Chair; Adam Shirley, Secretary; Willa Fambrough, Member; and Hank Qadir, Member. Others in attendance were Charlotte Sosebee, Elections Director; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Audra Taylor, Elections Assistant; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant; Aletha Perkins, Administrative Assistant; Nathan Orck, Elections Clerk; Niki Jones, Assistant County Manager; and Sherrie Hines, Assistant County Attorney. Also present were three members of the community. A. MOTION by Ms. Fambrough to adopt the agenda. Seconded by Mr. Qadir. Approved unanimously. B. MOTION by Ms. Fambrough to approve the minutes from the February 21 regular meeting. Seconded by Mr. Qadir. Approved unanimously. C. There was no public comment. D. Director’s Report No motions made E. Old Business No motions made F. New Business MOTION by Mr. Qadir to amend the agenda by adding “Approval of Poll Managers” to New Business. Seconded by Ms. Fambrough. Approved unanimously. 1. Approval of Poll Managers MOTION by Mr. Shirley to approve the names recommended by staff as poll managers for the March 21, 2023, special election. Seconded by Mr. Raffle. Approved unanimously. G. Announcements 1. Tuesday, March 21: Election Day: last day to vote in person in the March 2023 special election (County Commission District 2) 2. Tuesday, March 21, 4:30pm, 2555 Lexington Road: March special called meeting (election day) 3. Monday, March 27, 4:00pm, 2555 Lexington Road: March special called meeting (election certification) 4.
