Minutes - Regular Meeting Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections & Voter Registration June 13, 2023, 4:30pm 120 W Dougherty Street, Athens, GA 30601 Bylaws of the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (bit.ly/accboebylaws) Chair Raffle called the meeting to order at 4:34pm. In attendance were Rocky Raffle, Chair; Ann Till, Vice Chair; Adam Shirley, Secretary; and Willa Fambrough, Member. Others in attendance were Charlotte Sosebee, Elections Supervisor; Lisa McGlaun, Elections Assistant; Pamela Long, Elections Assistant; Aletha Perkins, Administrative Assistant; Audra Taylor, Elections Assistant; Nathan Orck, Election Clerk; and Sherrie Hines, Assistant County Attorney. Also present were six other members of the public. A. MOTION by Mr. Shirley to adopt the agenda. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. B. MOTION by Ms. Fambrough to approve the minutes from the May 9 regular meeting and May 16 special meeting. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. C. Public Comment was heard from Josh Friedman, Julia Dattell, Barbara Turner, and Jacqueline Elsner. D. Director Sosebee, Ms. Long, Ms. McGlaun, and Ms. Perkins presented the Director’s Report. E. Old Business Resolution for advance voting schedule template (Qadir - 15min) MOTION by Ms. Fambrough to table this item until July. Seconded by Ms. Till. Approved unanimously. F. New Business 1. Call of special election for Clerk of Court (Raffle - 10min) MOTION by Mr. Shirley to set qualifying dates for all November 7, 2023, elections to begin Monday, August 21, at 8:30am and continue daily from 8:00am until 5:00pm ending on Wednesday, August 23. Seconded by Ms. Fambrough. Approved unanimously. 2. Preparation for public hearings regarding 2024 polling precincts (Raffle - 10min) 3.
