Nadine Muhammad (Callie Moore’s Nurse) Minutes  The meeting was called to order at 6:10 pm.  Cameron Jay moved to accept the minutes from the October meeting. Brandon seconded, and the motion passed.  The Chair asked that all members look over the most updated version of the Bylaws and share any changes that should be made.  Cameron Jay asked if the Bylaws would be accessible online to the general public. Niki explained that those were the same sections that were changed originally.  Micah explained that the only changes made since the last meeting were fixing a typo, adding Cameron Jay and Tucker’s names to the list of signatures, and adding page numbers.  Once sure that there were no further changes needed, Megan moved to accept the Bylaws. Jayivey seconded. The motion passed unanimously, and the Bylaws were accepted.  Each member in attendance signed the final copy.  Megan asked if the mission statement activities from the last meeting would be continued.  Joseph initiated the work plan retreat by asking everyone to place themselves in the same working groups if they remembered. The groups then took time to continue working on developing a shared language so that they could create a mission statement. The HRC worked on defining the following terms: o Human Dignity o Equal Opportunity o Mutual Respect o Harmony Inclusion Office THE UNIFIED GOVERNMENT OF ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY, GEORGIA P. O. One group created a mission statement, and the HRC used this as a starting point then, everyone contributed feedback to improve the statement.  After some time, Tucker suggested a brief recess. The Chair moved for a 5-minute recess. Tucker seconded, and the motion passed.  Once returning from recess, the HRC went back to finishing the mission statement. The HRC came up with this final version of the mission statement: o Advancing mutual respect by creating a space that allows differences to be seen, heard, and valued while fostering an equitable existence for all persons.  Ke’Marcis moved to accept the mission statement, and Danielle seconded.  The motion passed, and the mission statement was accepted.  The retreat continued by having each group recognize the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Challenges of the following: o 1. Non-Discrimination Ordinance o 2. Community Relationship Building and Listening o 3. Policy  The small groups worked on this activity for some time and wrote their SWOCs on a poster that was titled for each item. Joseph explained that the other posters would have to be shared at the next meeting due to time constraints.  The Chair explained that she would send out correspondence via email about meeting in December. After some discussion, the HRC decided to resolve the matter at this meeting.  Tameka moved to cancel the December meeting.
