• A general consensus was made on Call to Order at 6:01 p.m.
• No public commenters present. No public comment made.
• Epps asked Gino if other subcommittees have been following motions or following a
general consensus. Gino replied general consensus.
• Epps states that Gino has sent out several emails to the HRC that weren’t replied to.
Thus, the agenda for this meeting was created by Gino.
• The body agreed to rotate the leadership role for their subcommittee.
• Alejandra asked if this committee is responsible for making the ordinance more
accessible. Epps assured this.
• Brandon asked Epps who is responsible for making changes to the ordinance, and who it
goes through. Remy said she believes it goes to the Manager of the Manager’s Office to the
Commission for final review. Remy said she double-check with staff on this.
• Brandon asked who actually approves changes and puts them on the website. Remy said
she believes it would have to go through our Public Information Office.
• Brandon asked if changes have to be made based on a recommendation or does it have to
be voted on. Remy said she wasn’t sure but believed it differed based on the request.

• Remy reminded everyone that the scope for the HRC main body is to make
recommendations to the ordinance.
• Alejandra mentioned that she has been looking at other HRC websites. She stated that
they have the following
• Summary of the ordinance
• Examples of complaints that could be filed
• Alejandra suggested that their subcommittee have an ordinance event at the library. She
said the ordinance should be accessible in different languages.
• Remy recommended that these suggestions be reiterated at the main body meeting.
• Aside Ke’Marcis Howard, Remy stated that the Inclusion Office was unsure if anyone
would come to this meeting due to no one communicating they’d arrive. Remy asked for
a general consensus for the next meeting date/time.
• A general consensus was made for their monthly meeting to be the second Wednesday of
each month at 6 p.m.
• Remy requested that the body be more responsive to Gino’s emails, specifically about
meetings and agendas.
• Ed requested for the upcoming second Wednesday of next month (4/12/23) meeting to be
at the same location: ACC Gov. Planning Department

• Make the ordinance more visible and accessible
• Making sure there is an accessible way for the community to ask their questions
and submit concerns related to the ordinance
• Answering questions (Possibly a Q&A?)
• Announcements made:
• The next HRC meeting is March 22nd at 6 p.m. at ACC Gov Auditorium
Development.
• Brandon said that he’d like to see other subcommittees approach with having a leader
before sticking to the rotate method.
• Ed asked for a rundown of what the leader of a subcommittee would do. Remy replied
that the lead would:
• Start and send over the final agenda to staff
• Chair the meeting
• Speak on behalf of other subcommittee members when necessary
• A general consensus was made to adjourn the meeting at 6:39 p.m.
