Had meetings in January vs. reports – updates below i. Business and Industry: (Chair: Nathan; Members: Michelle, Jameson, James, adding Adam) 1. BBY by one vote it’s Venue on Broad a. Want to set up a meeting to see if can connect with marketing “have your event at the most beautiful business in Athens” b. Percentage night with them maybe? c. Make it a thing to give them their award 2. BBM is Poquitos January, February is Independent Bakery a. Thinking percentage nights too b. Want to connect when give prizes ii. Events (Chair: LaDarius; Members: Dave, Theresa, Brian, Josh) 1. St. Patty’s event March 17! a. Entertainment: Irish dancers, DJ (LaDarius), bagpiper b. Kids’ games c. Costumes contests for adults and kids d. Food truck – one we wanted isn’t available, we are going to see which ones do well at Terrapin and make a decision  e. Donations and registration table as before f. Set up Venmo to make payments easier g. Volunteer link will be shared with all h. Bulbs? Some donated but didn’t care for the bulbs so maybe just 500? (already have don’t have to request) i. Josh is checking on the dunk tank j. Joe has reached out to a few people about sponsorship k. No ticket entry so we don’t lose the general public l. Starting to reach back out to past BBMs and other companies to connect 2. Tarrapin is the Adopt a Highway group for Prince and hasn’t done a cleanup in a while so looking to see if they can transition them to another road and open up that spot 3. 2 LWYL Grants a. River Oaks – phase 2 b. Serious Athletics – shade shelter for runners who practice there, trail upkeep c. Trying to figure out something in April to realize folks who have been doing litter cleanups or suing debris racker d. Looking at how we can help with social media i. Courtney is in Canva (can help with materials from other committees) VI. Old Business VII. New Business a. Georgia Arbor Day – Athentic, February 16th, 5:30 – 7:30, get tree seedlings, with tree council b. Litter Abatement Steering Committee, February 16, 11 am – 1 pm, Streets and Drainage facility, KACCB and public welcome to attend, please let Carlos know if you are coming c. Green Life Award and Art Submission Deadline, March 1 d. St. Patty’s day event – March 17 e. Green Life Awards, April 24, 6pm i.
