Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia Mayor and Commission Special Called Session Thursday, May 9, 2024 5:34 p.m. 120 West Dougherty Street The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia met this date in a special called session. Present: Mayor Girtz; Commissioners Davenport, Link, Fisher, Houle, Culpepper, Myers, Thornton, and Hamby. Commissioner Wright entered the meeting at 5:50 p.m. Absent: Commissioner Taylor The purpose of the meeting was to conduct public hearing #1 on the proposed FY25 budget as required by the Taxpayer Bill of Rights passed by the Georgia General Assembly in 1999; and consider any other item in proper order. Public Hearing #1 as required by the Taxpayer Bill of Rights The following public input was received. 1. Michael McLendon – Stated meeting was not properly titled on website Following this special called session, a budget work session was conducted. At the conclusion of the work session a motion was made by Commissioner Wright, seconded by Commissioner Davenport to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 8:06 p.m. Deputy Clerk of Commission
