The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia met this date in a special called
session. Present: Mayor Girtz; Commissioners Davenport, Link, Fisher, Houle, Culpepper, Myers,
Thornton, and Hamby. Commissioner Wright entered the meeting at 5:50 p.m.
Absent: Commissioner Taylor
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct public hearing #1 on the proposed FY25 budget
as required by the Taxpayer Bill of Rights passed by the Georgia General Assembly in 1999; and
consider any other item in proper order.

The following public input was received.
1. Michael McLendon – Stated meeting was not properly titled on website
Following this special called session, a budget work session was conducted. At the
conclusion of the work session a motion was made by Commissioner Wright, seconded by
Commissioner Davenport to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 8:06 p.m.

C. Conduct public hearing. If you wish to address the Mayor and Commission on the proposed FY25
budget, please go to the podium and state your name and address. RULES OF THE COMMISSION
STATE THAT MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC MAY SPEAK ONCE DURING THIS PORTION OF THE
AGENDA FOR UP TO TWO MINUTES WITH A 30 SECOND REMINDER AT ONE AND A HALF MINUTES.
