Mayor and Commission Special Called Session
Tuesday, October 15, 2024

City Hall
The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia met this date in a special called
session. Present: Mayor Girtz; Commissioners Davenport, Link, Wright, Fisher, Houle, Culpepper, Myers,
and Hamby. Absent: Commissioners Taylor and Thornton.

The purpose of the meeting was to consider SPLOST 2020 Project 03, Classic Center Arena -
sign design approval.
Public Input
There was none.
New Business – Consider suspension of Rules
A motion was made by Commissioner Davenport, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, to suspend
Rules of Commission for consideration of one item of new business. The motion passed by unanimous
vote.
A motion was made by Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Davenport, to HOLD
until November 6, 2024 SPLOST 2020 Project 03, Classic Center Arena – Sign design approval. The
motion passed by unanimous vote.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wright, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, to adjourn.
The motion passed by unanimous vote.
The meeting adjourned at 5:12 p.m.

MINUTES WITH A 30 SECOND REMINDER AT TWO AND A HALF MINUTES.
