Mayor and Commission Special Called Session
Tuesday, September 30, 2025

City Hall
The Mayor and Commission of the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia met
this date in a special called session. Present: Mayor Girtz, Commissioners Davenport, Link, Wright,
Fisher, Culpepper, Thornton and Hamby. Commissioners Taylor, Johnson and Myers were absent.
The purpose of the meeting was to enter into executive session to discuss confidential personnel
matters pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 50-14-3(b)(2).
A motion was made by Commissioner Wright, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, to enter into
executive session. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
A motion was made by Commissioner Fisher, seconded by Commissioner Thornton, to adjourn
the meeting. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
The meeting adjourned at 4:13 p.m.
