Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia Mayor and Commission Special Called Session Tuesday, February 10, 2026 3:15 p.m. Planning Department – Conference Room The Mayor and Commission of the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia met this date in a special called session. Present: Mayor Girtz; Commissioners Davenport, Link, Taylor Wright, Fisher, Myers, and Thornton. Commissioners Johnson, Culpepper, and Hamby was absent. The purpose of the meeting was to enter into executive session to discuss confidential personnel matters pursuant to O.C.G.A. §50-14-3(B)(2). A motion was made by Commissioner Thornton, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, to enter into executive session. The motion passed by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Commissioner Thornton, seconded by Commissioner Fisher, to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
