MINUTES MALL AREA TAX ALLOCATION DISTRICT (TAD) ADVISORY COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, April 19, 2022 -3:30 pm The meeting was held remotely, via WebEx. Call to Order as a Regular Meeting: Michael Seibert. B. Approval of Agenda Motion: Denise Ricks Second: Vincent Jolly C. Approval of April 12, 2022 Minutes: Motion: Denise Ricks Second: Rick Dunn D. Overview of Meeting: Explaining what TAD is to CCSD. Discuss how CCSD can help the TAD mall Area 1. TAD Committee explained to CCSD that we do not have an application or a strategic plan from the developers yet. 2. Question was raised, If there are ten buildings with 1200 units, how would it affect CCSD. 3. CCSD said they do not have enough information to know exactly how it would affect the area. There is a lot of variables involved. 4. CCSD did say Cleveland Road elementary school could possibly handle 100 to 200 students hypothetically, anymore they would have to think about extension on to the school.  5. CCSD said the additional housing may bring more volunteers to Cleveland road, which would help in the development of programs; 6. CCSD also suggested that the developer carve out an facility for youth after school programs. They suggested if they knew the sized of the facility, what is needed, they can bring partners to the table, like boys and girls club. 7. OLD Business Follow up on Westside Park Project 1. Leisure Services Todd Miller can answer any questions concerning Park. 2. SPLOST 2020 allocated 1.7 million for park 3. Current looking for place for westside park 4. Start possibly 2030 – 2030 8. Old Business Follow up on affordable housing 1. Received documents from Caitlin Dye E. Next Steps: 1. Voted on Monthly Meetings. 3rd Tuesday of every month 2.
