ATHENS TOWN COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA April 5, 2016 The Town Council of the Town of Athens, WV, will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 7:00 PM prevailing time, in Council Chambers at the Town Hall, Athens, West Virginia. Call to Order Action on the Minutes of March 15, 2016 Approval of the Agenda Citizen Input Employee Reports Quarterly Departmental Reports Old Business:  Progress, Recommendations, and Appointments of Committees  Change Order for Water Plant  Website Update New Business:  Request for use of park for production of movie  Prioritization for Region 1 Executive Session:  Personnel Matter(s) Town Election: The deadline for filing as a candidate for election shall be the first Tuesday in April (70 days or 10 weeks prior to the election). The Recorded shall publish notice of the filing date in the principal local newspaper in the form of a class 1 legal advertisement and shall post notice of the same at the Town Hall. Candidates shall file by appearing at the Town Hall before the Recorder or the town clerk. A filing fee of one dollar ($1.00) shall be charged. Candidates may file for only one office, Athens, WV, Ordinances, Article 107.02, section 2 (2004).
