1. Motion to approve Change Order #2 to C.W. Matthews’ Contract (25BFA147). (Approved by

2. Motion to approve temporary exceptions to Ordinance Sec. 7-1-119 to facilitate residential
reconstruction efforts led by Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) in response to Hurricane
Helene—including state licensure exemptions and permission for MDS to assist homeowners,
acting as General Contractor, with permit application preparation—and to waive the second
reading to expedite recovery efforts. (Approved by Public Services Committee August 26,
2025)
ENGINEERING SERVICES
3. Motion to determine that portion of Dogwood Terrace Apartments approximately 722 feet of Bolt
Drive as shown on the attached plat, has ceased to be used by the public to the extent that no
substantial public purpose is served by it or that its removed from the county road system is
otherwise in the best public interest, and a public hearing shall be held regarding the issue of
abandonment pursuant to O.C.G.A. 32 -7-2, with the abandoned property to be quit-claimed to the

4. Motion to approve proposal to enter an Engineering Services Contract with Schnabel
Engineering, to provide engineering services including assessment, design, bidding, and
construction administration services for the repair of embankment damages on the Augusta Canal
in the amount of $394,000.00.(Approved by Engineering Services Committee August 26,
2025)
5. Motion to authorize condemnation to acquire a portion of property for temporary construction
easement (Parcel 061-3-156-00-0) 526 Laney Walker Blvd. (East Augusta Drainage and
Improvements Phase IV Project). (Approved by Engineering Services Committee August 26,
2025)
6. Motion to approve the extension of Rental of Bypass pumps for #8 Raw water (Approved by

7. Motion to authorize condemnation to acquire a portion of property for permanent drainage

11. Motion to approve Supplementing Construction Contract of Sediment Dredging and Disposal
Construction Services to Waterfront Property Services, LLC Waterfront Property Services, LLC
dba Gator for continuation of sediments dredging and including Turknett Spring Sediment Basin
area (Task Order 2). Also approve supplemental funding in the amount of $1,150,000.00 for
Turknett Spring Sediment Basin Task Orde 2 dredging activities. AE/ RFP 20-224. (No
recommendation from Engineering Services Committee August 26, 2026)
12. Motion to install drain at 1912 Ellis St. (Requested by Commissioner Jordan

13. Reconsider the vote for waste management monthly payment option. (Requested by

17. Motion to approve the purchase of five vehicles at total cost of $242,313 from Akins Dodge Ford

18. Receive as information the emergency request for the HVAC replacements at the Julian Smith
Casino in the amount of $225,000.00 by Sig Cox.(LQ)
19. Receive as information the emergency request for the roof replacement at the Fleet Shop # 2
facility located at 2316 Tobacco Road in the amount of $79,861.00 by Hixon’s Roofing &

20. Approve the request for Mayor’s execution of the federal tax deduction (179D) Allocation Letter
to Trane Technologies. (LQ)
21. Discuss and approve the installation of a memorial display at Hero’s Overlook to honor the seven
lives lost during Hurricane Helene in Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia.(LQ) (Requested by

22. Motion to name Coroner's Office Morgue "Mark Bowen Morgue" in honor of Coroner Mark
