The agency intends to use this funding to purchase a new vehicle and to use funding for training. Background: The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has funding available in the State Drug Forfeiture Account's Fund balance. The Sheriff’s Office would like to use the funding to purchase a new vehicle and provide additional training opportunities for the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. Analysis: The Richmond County Sheriff's Office would like to purchase a vehicle for the Administration Division. Also, funding will be used for a Fallen Officers event and used for additional training. Background: Periodic updates are provide to keep the commission abreast of Augusta's status in the bond market and upcoming bond issuance's. Analysis: There is the potential for several bonds to be issued in the next 12 months. SPLOST 8 bonds will be issued during the first part of 2022 and if approved by the voters in November 2021 a GO bond will be issued for the construction of the New James Brown Arena Complex. The purpose of this update is to review: the current outstanding bond debt, the current bond ratings, the anticipated rating process for the up coming bond issuance's, upcoming opportunities for the refinancing of outstanding bonds.
