Motion to approve the minutes of the Public Safety Committee held on April 11, 2023. Motion to approve. Motion made by Garrett, Seconded by Williams. Voting Yea: Smith-McKnight, Mason, Williams, Garrett Motion carries 4-0. ADDENDUM ITEM 1. Motion to approve $2,300,000 of Fire Department Fund Balance for the emergency purchase of a new aerial truck, repair two fire pumpers, repair one reserve aerial truck, purchase light vehicles and $145,000 from Property Sales for the purchase of an air truck. (Requested by IA Takiyah A. Douse) It was the consensus of the committee that this item be added to the agenda without objection. Motion to approve. Motion made by Garrett, Seconded by McKnight. Voting Yea: Smith-McKnight, Williams, Garrett Voting Nay: Mason Motion carries 3-1.
