Second Street Austin, TX Agenda City Council Addendum Agenda Thursday, October 12, 2017 10:00 AM Austin City Hall Addendum The City Council may go into a closed session as permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act, (Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code) regarding any item on this agenda. All of the following items may be acted upon by one motion. No separate discussion or action on any of the items is necessary unless desired by a Council Member. Consent Agenda Convention Center 29. Approve a resolution adopting the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau (doing business as Visit Austin) 2017-2018 Marketing Plan and Proposed Budget; setting the contract payment as required by the Chapter 351 of the Texas Tax Code; and authorizing the City Manager to file the approved documents with the City Clerk’s Office as required by the Texas Tax Code. Fire 30. Approve an ordinance establishing classifications and positions in the classified service of the Austin Fire Department; creating and eliminating certain positions; establishing pay rates; repealing Ordinance No. 20170913-003 relating to Fire Department classifications and positions; and declaring an emergency. Office of Real Estate Services 31. Authorize amendments to prior Council action authorizing negotiation and execution of an encroachment agreement with Austin Convention Enterprises, Inc. for an aerial walkway bridge and surface and subsurface piers within the East 4th Street, located at 400 1/2 Neches Street to correct the square footage of aerial and subsurface encroachments.
