Approve an ordinance adopting a Capital Improvement Plan for the expansion of the Convention Center Facility; authorizing an increase in the City of Austin Municipal Hotel Occupancy Tax from 7% to 9% effective August 8, 2019 for the purpose of funding the Convention Center Expansion; and declaring an emergency. Approve a resolution calling for state and federal authorities to take all actions necessary to immediately address gun violence and directing the City Manager to send this call for action to the appropriate local, state and federal leaders.
