The City Council may go into a closed session as permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act, (Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code) regarding any item on this agenda. All of the following items may be acted upon by one motion. No separate discussion or action on any of the items is necessary unless desired by a Council Member. Briefings 1. Update on Project Connect Community Engagement, Investment Options, and Governance. Council Discussion 2. Approve a resolution directing the City Manager to include a determined amount in the proposed Fiscal Year 2020-2021 property (ad valorem) tax rate for the purposes of creating a dedicated fund for a local government corporation, to be created by the City of Austin and Capital Metro, to invest in the Project Connect System Plan and transit supportive investments, and directing the City Manager to draft an interlocal agreement with Capital Metro for consideration by the City Council at a later date.
