THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE WILL MEET ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2017 AT 2:00 PM, AUSTIN CITY HALL 301 W. Action will only be taken by the members of the committee. The committee may go into a closed session under the Open Meetings Act, Section 551.071, of the Texas Government Code, to receive advice from legal counsel on any item on this agenda. CALL TO ORDER Approval of Minutes 1. Approve the Minutes of the Health and Human Services Committee meeting of Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 and Monday, May 8th, 2017. Citizen Communication: General 2. Speakers signed up prior to the meeting being called to order will each be allowed two minutes to address their concerns regarding items not posted on the agenda (limit of 10 speakers). Executive Session 3. Discuss the appointment of board members to the Austin/Travis County Sobriety Center, review applications, and select candidates to be interviewed (Personnel Exception - 551.074 of the Government Code).
