1. Discussion regarding Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 10 (Licensing and
Permits Generally) of the Code of Revised General Ordinances, 2000 authorizing the
licensing and operation of Jitneys in the Borough of Avalon.
2. Discussion regarding Resolution authorizing an amendment to the professional services
agreement with Dr. Stewart C. Farrell, Executive Director, Coastal Research Center,
Richard Stockton College of New Jersey for additional services.
3. Discussion regarding Resolution authorizing the Avalon Environmental Commission to
prepare and file an application with the Association of New Jersey Environmental
Commissions for a 2013 ANJEC Open Space Grant for Environmental Commissions.
4. Discussion regarding bids received for the following contracts:
a. Borough Contract No. 13-04 – Collection & Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste
Materials for the Borough of Avalon for a term up to five (5) years.
b. Borough Contract No. 13-05 – Collection & Disposal of Municipal Recycling
Materials for Borough of Avalon for a term up to five (5) years
c. Borough Contract No. 13-06 - Collection & Disposal of Municipal Bulk Waste
Materials for Borough of Avalon for a term up to five (5) years
5. Discussion regarding preparation of bids for police radio communication equipment.
6. Update by Business Administrator regarding Central Dispatch Study with Stone Harbor
and the State of New Jersey, Department of Community Affairs.
7. Discussion regarding Resolution appointing Class I and II Special Officers for the
Borough of Avalon.
8. Discussion regarding Resolution affirming the recommendation of the Hearing Officer
with respect to rental license issued to All Shore, Inc. for premises situate at 355 40th
Street, East Unit.
9. Discussion regarding Resolution authorizing and supporting application to the United
States Coast Guard for official designation of Cape May County as “A Coast Guard
Community”.
10. Public comments.
