CALL TO ORDER: 6:04 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Councilmember Gravelle, Councilman Verdugo Mayor Preciado, Mayor Pro Tem Ramirez via
zoom.
ABSENT: Councilman Hernandez.
STAFF PRESENT: Ortiz, Bermudez, Lopez, Yang.
LEGAL COUNSEL: None.
CITY CLERK: Government Code Section 54952.3: The members of the City Council and Successor Agency are
entitled to receive a total of $300.00 per month because of being elected to the City Council. They receive no other
compensation for sitting as a member of the Successor Agency.
PUBLIC COMMENT/ANNOUNCEMENTS & UNSCHEDULED APPEARANCES:
A. Redistricting Presentation by Valley Voices – Ruth López, Executive Director.(Informational).
Valley Voices – Ruth López, Executive Director gave a lengthy presentation & des of redistricting: 1)
they attend county Board of Supervisors meetings; 2) CAResearch proposed demographer consultant
national demographics Corp wrote letter of oppositions to the hiring of in NDC; 3) gathered 880
signatures from the community 4) hired a demographic from the valley; 5) targeted other districts within
Kings County encouraged them to not engage in a cost sharing agreement with the county; 6) who is
NDC; New proposed map from Valley Voices.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
Antony Lopez, City Manager: 1) invites the community to the last Flea Market at Sport Complex live music and
peting zoo; 2) 2nd round of vacines with gift certificate Sundat 10-2pm.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business the City Council meeting was adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
