NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD September 22, 2022 7:00 PM CITY HALL 13503 ALEXANDER ROAD BALCH SPRINGS, TEXAS, 75181 AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board of the City of Balch Springs, Texas will hold a Regular Meeting at the above-named date, time and location for the purpose, consideration and action on all the items listed below. 1. Identification of a quorum. 2. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Citizen Comments (3 minutes maximum per citizen comments). 4. Consideration and action regarding approval of previous meeting minutes: a. June 23, 2022 5. Staff update on Park Amenities Bond projects under construction and remaining available funding. 6. Staff update on EDC Type B funded projects for 2022 including 100K for a bathroom at Oak Ridge and 50K for lighting / fencing project. 7. Staff update on EDC Type B funded projects for 2023. 8. Discussion regarding potential future projects. (a.e. median beautification, food truck park) 9. Update and discussion regarding the upcoming Comprehensive Plan update (specifically the Parks Master plan). 10. Discussion and action about the Parks Board upcoming holiday schedule. 11. Staff Reports/Updates: a. Luedeke Park b. Irwin Park c. Guy Berry Park d. Woodland Park e. Oakridge Park f. Boyd Rodgers 12. The members of the boards, commissions and/or committees may participate in discussions on the same items listed on the agenda, which occur at the meeting, but no action will be taken by such in attendance unless such item and action is specifically provided for on an agenda for that board, commission or committee subject to the Texas Open Meetings Act.
