NOTICE OF SPECIAL VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
The Village of Balsam Lake Board of Trustees will be holding a Special Board Meeting on
Monday January 23rd, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 404 Main Street Balsam Lake.
“Notice is hereby given to the public and the news media pursuant to Wisconsin Statute that a Village Board Meeting of the
Village Board of the Village of Balsam Lake, Polk County, Wisconsin, will be held as indicated below for the purpose of
transacting such business as indicated on the following agenda. Discussion and possible action could be taken on the
following agenda items.”
Agenda:
1. Called to order.
2. Roll Call.
3. Public Comments. (3 minutes per person)
4. To consider and possibly act to approve the agenda.
5. To consider and possibly act to close County Road I from Main Street to Mill Street for Winter Fest

6. To consider and possibly act to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85
(c): Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data
of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises

7. To consider and possibly act to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85
exemptions (1) (e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing
of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or
bargaining reasons require a closed session. Possible sale of Highway Building Property
