Village of Balsam Lake Municipal Building 404 Main Street Balsam Lake Regular Meeting of the Balsam Lake Board of Trustees, Monday February 5th, 2024 at 6:00 pm “Notice is hereby given to the public and the news media pursuant to Wisconsin Statute that a Village Board meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Balsam Lake, Polk County, Wisconsin, will be held as indicated below for the purpose of transacting such business as indicated on the following agenda. Discussion and possible action could be taken on any agenda item.” Agenda: 1. Call to order. 2. Roll Call. 3. Conducting Village Board Meeting-there will be no public input to the board after public comments, except during a properly called public hearing. 4. Public Comments-3 minutes per person. 5. To consider and possibly act to approve the February 5th, 2024 Regular Board Meeting Agenda. 6. To consider and possibly act to approve the January 8th, 2024 Regular Board meeting minutes. 7. Fire Chief Report-Monthly Activity. 8. Public Protection Committee Report, Aimee Newbauer. 9. Discussion and possible action regarding payment support to Apple River Fire Department. 10. Police Chief Report-Monthly Activity. 11. Library Director Report-Monthly Activity. 12. Chamber of Commerce Report-Monthly Activity. 13. Public Works Report-Monthly Activity. 14. Discussion and possible action regarding old county highway property proposed CSM. 15. Discussion and possible action on Yunker land Surveying, ‘shop lot’ survey and proposed cost. 16. Discussion and possible action regarding lease with Snowmobile Club. 29. Discussion and possible action to allow the Polk County Snowmobile Club to have water & sewer services. 30. Discussion and possible action to allow Matt Hall to have water & sewer services on 600 Pine Island. 31. To consider and possibly act to attain bids for a new Village plow truck. 32. To consider and possibly act to approve Original Operator License #1472. 33. Discussion and possible action to approve rental license applications. 34. To consider and possibly act to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85 exemptions (1) (e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. Discussion with Scott Anderson regarding property within the Village. 38. To consider and possibly act to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85 exemptions (1) (e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session.
