Regular Meeting of the Balsam Lake Board of Trustees, Monday May 6th, 2024 at 6:00 pm
“Notice is hereby given to the public and the news media pursuant to Wisconsin Statute that a Village Board meeting of the Village Board of the
Village of Balsam Lake, Polk County, Wisconsin, will be held as indicated below for the purpose of transacting such business as indicated on the
following agenda. Discussion and possible action could be taken on any agenda item.”
Agenda:
1. Call to order.
2. Village Trustees Oath of Office-Jamey Flaherty, Gary Johnson and Corby Stark.
3. Roll Call.
4. Conducting Village Board Meeting-there will be no public input to the board after public comments, except
during a properly called public hearing.
5. Public Comments-3 minutes per person.
6. To consider and possibly act to approve the May 6th, 2024 Regular Board Meeting Agenda.
7. To consider and possibly act to approve the April 1st 2024 Regular Board meeting minutes, April 15th, 2024,
Special Board Meeting Minutes.
8. Library Director Report-Monthly Activity.
9. Fire Chief Report-Monthly Activity.
10. Public Protection Committee Report, Jena Paquette.
11. Discussion and possible action regarding Fire Protection and Emergency Services Agreement with Balsam
Lake Township.
12. To consider and possibly act to approve CUP Application #86, Mabry Living Trust, 510 150 th Street, Josh
Yunker.
13. Discussion and possible action regarding rezoning a portion of parcel 106-00563-000, Duane A Hendrickson
Revocable Trust.
14. Discussion and possible action regarding request from Matthew Chenoweth regarding Village owned lake
access on the Mill Pond.

16. To consider and possibly act to approve Street Closure Permit #24-01 *modification*, KJ’s New North.
17. To consider and possibly act to approve Amplified Device Permit Application #3072, KJ’s New North.

19. Discussion and possible action on trash & porta potty services for Corn on the Curb event, KJ’s New N.

(1) (e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or
conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed
session. Discussion on Old County Highway Property.
