BANGOR BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD AT 197 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, BANGOR, PA
MINUTES September 14, 2015 7:00PM
CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE TO FLAG
ROLL CALL
Members Present:
Michael J. Bilotta
Kenneth L. Brewer, III

PUBLIC COMMENT AND CORRESPONDENCE:
1. Janet Miller was present and voiced concern about a baby carriage on Broadway that
has been out in all elements for over a month. Manager Dysard recommended that a
letter be sent to the property owner.
2. President Kresge informed Borough Council and the audience that Northampton
County has an Open Space Advisory Board which currently has two openings. One of
the members is looking into Stormwater Management and if anyone is interested or
knows someone from the Slate Belt that is interested he encourages them to apply.
NEW BUSINESS
1. A MOTION to table Authorize Advertisement of Vehicles and Traffic Ordinance #962,
pending review by County on the bridge located at Pennsylvania Avenue & N 1st Street
made by LaBar, seconded by Bilotta, all were in favor.
2. A MOTION to waive the fee for 2016 Relay for Life made by Houser, seconded by
Billotta, all were in favor. MOTION carried.
3. A MOTION to support the Slate Belt Community Partnership Resolution made by
Houser, seconded by LaBar. Vote 2-6 yay-Houser, LaBar. Nay- Kresge, Bilotta, Brewer,
Murphy, Gorman, Rhodes.
4. A MOTION to set Trick-or-Treat for Sunday October 25 from 3PM-5PM made by
Murphy, seconed by Brewer. All were in favor. MOTION carried.

MAYORS REPORT
Donald Jones Day was a success and he really enjoyed it.
COUNCIL MEMBERS
1. Councilmember Houser thanked Borough Manager and the Crew on the crosswalk
painting.
2. Councilmember LaBar mentioned the Bangor Fire Department won a few awards at the
Labor Day Parade held in Pen Argyl this year. She also mentioned the Anniversary
Committee is still holding events monthly.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
A MOTION to go into executive session was made by Brewer, seconded by Murphy. All were in
favor. MOTION carried
ADJOURNMENT
A MOTION to adjourn was made by Brewer, seconded by Murphy. All were in favor.
MOTION carried.
The Bangor Borough Council Meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
