BANGOR BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD AT 197 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, BANGOR, PA
MINUTES FEBRUARY 23, 2026, 6:30 PM
CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE TO FLAG
ROLL CALL

ACTION ITEMS:
1. A MOTION to approve payment of the bills totaling $667,072.77 was made by Sperling, seconded
by Augustine. All were in favor. MOTION carried.
2. A MOTION was made by Augustine, seconded by Capone to table the proclamation for the Bangor
Public Works Department until the next Council meeting. All were in favor. MOTION carried.
3. Manager Reider and Council continued their discussion of the Zoning and Snow Removal
Ordinance revisions.
COUNCIL COMMENTS:
1. Mayor McCloughan complimented Public Works on snow removal.
2. Council Member Sperling complimented Public Works on snow removal and the Bangor Fire
Departments for being available during the recent snow event.
3. Council Member Maslany updated Council on the recent Slate Belt Rising meeting.
4. Manager Reider gave Council a Public Works and grant update.
Reider stated that Slater Youth Football would like to use the Bangor Memorial Park for their
practices. Representatives from Slater Youth Football were in attendance to answer any questions
from Council.
ADJOURNMENT:
A MOTION to adjourn was made by Augustine, seconded by Sperling. All were in favor. MOTION
carried. The Bangor Borough Council Meeting adjourned at 6:47 P.M.

• When appropriate, and at the sole discretion of the Council President, a response to questions will
be provided at the next Council meeting.
• Refrain from side-bar conversations, talking over others, or interrupting recognized speakers.
