To be approved at 03-28-17 Barre City Council Meeting Special Meeting of the Barre City Council Held March 23, 2017 The Special Meeting of the Barre City Council was called to order by Mayor Thomas Lauzon at 6:00 PM at Barre City Hall. In attendance were: From Ward I, Councilor Jeffrey Tuper-Giles (participating by phone); from Ward II, Councilor Brandon Batham; and from Ward III, Councilor Lucas Herring. Absent: From Ward I, Councilor Sue Higby; from Ward II, Councilor Michael Boutin; and from Ward III, Councilor Anita Chadderton. Others present: City Clerk/Treasurer Carolyn Dawes. Mayor Lauzon said this special meeting was called to allow the Council to consider an entertainment license application submitted by Planned Parenthood of Northern New England for a rally in City Hall Park this Saturday, March 25, 2017, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. PPNNE is also requesting access to the gazebo and electricity. Council approved the entertainment license on motion of Councilor Batham, seconded by Councilor Herring. Motion carried, with Councilor Tuper-Giles voting by phone. The Council meeting adjourned at 6:03 PM on motion of Councilor Herring, seconded by Councilor Tuper-Giles.
