To be approved at 07-17-18 Barre City Council Meeting Special Meeting of the Barre City Council Held July 9, 2018 The Special Meeting of the Barre City Council was called to order by Acting Mayor Michael Boutin at 7:30 AM at the Barre City municipal pool. In attendance were: From Ward I, Councilors Sue Higby and Jeffrey Tuper-Giles; from Ward II, Councilor Brandon Batham; and from Ward III, Councilor Richard Morey. Also present were Mayor Lucas Herring (on phone), and Carol Dawes, City Clerk/Treasurer. Absent: From Ward III, Councilor John LePage. It was noted that due to the quorum of Councilors present, Mayor Herring could not vote by phone. Clerk Dawes reviewed the proposed tax rates:  Municipal rate: $1.8085  Local agreement rate: $0.0288 Council approved the FY19 tax rates on motion of Councilor Batham, seconded by Councilor Tuper- Giles. Motion carried with Mayor Herring not voting as per Council policy on phone participation. The Council meeting adjourned at 7:35 AM on motion of Councilor Batham, seconded by Councilor Tuper-Giles.
