REGULAR BRIDGING BASTROP BOARD MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 16, 2026
The Bridging Bastrop Board met at a Regular Meeting on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
at the Bastrop City Hall Council Chambers, 1311 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, Texas, with the
following action taken to wit:

1. CALL TO ORDER
Board Chair Lowe called the Regular Bridging Bastrop Board meeting to order at 5:32
p.m. with a quorum present.

No formal action was taken on Item 3C.
4. WORKSHOP
4A. Discussion about the Accessibility Inventory Walk Initiative, including but not
limited to the accessibility checklist.
Ideas that were discussed during the workshop:
• The inventory walk was postponed from April 7th due to lack of board participation
• The board discussed moving the walk initiative to October to align with National
Disability Employment Awareness Month'
• The focus will still be on the City buildings then take the initiative to the Downtown
businesses
• The board will be reviewing the inventory checklist
No formal action was taken on Item 4A.
5. ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION
5A. Review, discussion, and possible action on the March 2026 Employment
Reports from the City ofBastrop Human Resources Department.
Human Resources Director, Tanya Cantrell was not present. Assistant City Secretary
Psencik handed out the Board the March 2026 reports as well as the requested residency
composition of the current city employees.

5B. Consider and act to approve the Bridging Bastrop Board Meeting minutes
from the March 12, 2026, Regular Meetins.
MOTION: Board Member Ervin moved to approve the Bridging Bastrop Board Meeting
minutes from the March 12, 2026 Regular Meeting as presented. Board Member Wood
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
5C. Discussion and possible action regarcling the following volunteer commitment:
- SprineFest (April 18) - which sui'veys to conduct and Work in
Bastrop event promotion
- Work in Bastrop (April 30) - which surveys to conduct and other
volunteer duties
The Board decided to conduct a survey with the attendees at each event.
Board Members to be at SpringFest - Council Member Fossler, Chair Lowe, and Board
Member Wood. Board Members to be at Work in Bastrop - Board Member Knight, Chair
Lowe, Board Member Wood, and Board Member Ervin. The goal is to have all Board
Members present at the Work in Bastrop event since the board is a partner.
No formal action was taken on Item 5C.
5D. Individual Requests from Brideine Bastrop Board members for particular
items to be listed on future agendas.
Individual Requests made by the Board Members:
- Work Plan fmalization (strategic plan task assignments)
No formal action was taken on Item 5D.
6. ADJOURNMENT
Upon receiving a motion and a second to adjourn, the April 16 Regular Meeting was
adjourned at 6:24 p.m. without objection.

At this time, three (3) minute comments will be taken from the audience on any topic.
Anyone in attendance wishing to address the Board/Commission must complete a citizen
comment form and give the completed form to the Board/Commission Secretary prior to
the start of the Board/Commission meeting. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings
Act, if a citizen discusses any item not on the agenda, the Board/Commission cannot
discuss issues raised or make any decision at this time. Instead, the Board/Commission
is limited to making a statement of specific factual information or a recitation of existing
policy in response to the inquiry. Issues may be referred to the City Manager for research
and possible future action. Profanity, physical or other threats are not allowed and may
subject the speaker to loss of the time for comment, and if disruptive to the conduct of
business, could result in removal of the speaker.
