CITIZEN COMMENTS At this time, three (3) minute comments will be taken from the audience on any topic. Anyone in attendance wishing to address the Board/Commission must complete a citizen comment form and give the completed form to the Board/Commission Secretary prior to the start of the Board/Commission meeting. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, if a citizen discusses any item not on the agenda, the Board/Commission cannot discuss issues raised or make any decision at this time. Instead, the Board/Commission is limited to making a statement of specific factual information or a recitation of existing policy in response to the inquiry. Issues may be referred to City Manager for research and possible future action. It is not the intention of the City of Bastrop to provide a public forum for the embarrassment or demeaning of any individual or group. Neither is it the intention of the Board/Commission to allow a member of the public to slur the performance, honesty and/or integrity of the Board/Commission, as a body, or any member or members of the Board/Commission individually or collectively, or members of the City’s staff. Accordingly, profane, insulting or threatening language directed toward the Board/Commission and/or any person in the Board/Commission’s presence will not be tolerated. 3. ANNOUNCEMENTS 3A. Update and Discussion on Upcoming Events: - April 12th - SpringFest in Fisherman's Park - April 12th - Shred Day at First National Bank - April 12th - Family Make 'N' Take at the Museum - Lanterns to honor Paul Revere's Ride - April 17th - Colorado River Fundraiser at Neighbor's Kitchen & Yard - April 21st - Bastrop EDC Board Meeting - April 22nd - Regular City Council Meeting - April 24th - Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting - April 30th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm - Work in Bastrop at the Convention Center - May 3rd - City Council, Mayor, and School Board Elections - Every 3rd Saturday of the month is Music in The Museum from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm (Free Admission) 3C. Additional Announcements and/or Events from individual Bridging Bastrop Board Members. 4. REPORTS 4A. Receive a report on updates regarding job training and workforce development initiatives tailored to community needs and assignments for the Work in Bastrop Job Fair on April 30th. 4B. Receive an update on the Bridging Bastrop Board Facebook page. 4C. Receive a report on Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) partners regarding the President's Executive Office - Office of Management and Budget's Memorandum on Temporarily Pausing Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs. 4D. Review the updates made to the Bridging Bastrop Board 2025 Work Plan from the March 19th Board Meeting. 5. ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION 5A. Consider and act to approve the Bridging Bastrop Board Meeting minutes from the Thursday March 19, 2025, Regular Meeting. Bridging Bastrop Board Agenda April 10, 2025 Page 2 of 3 5B. Review, discussion, and possible action on the March Employment Reports from the City of Bastrop Human Resources Department. 5C. Discussion and possible action to confirm board volunteers to survey the public at upcoming events and request printed surveys: - SpringFest on April 12th: Sheila, Nancy, and Council Member Kerry Fossler - Work in Bastrop on April 30th: Sheila, Nancy, Karen, and Carly - Bridging Neighbors on May 3rd: To Be Determined 5D. Individual Requests from Bridging Bastrop Board members for particular items to be listed on future agendas (no group discussion). 5E. A. Discussion and possible action on any actions the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council took related to public notices for development permits issued in neighborhoods. B. Discussion to include the items from the March 19th meeting and how the Bridging Bastrop Board can support outreach efforts for these neighborhood meetings. 6.
