Parks and Public Tree Advisory Board Meeting

MINUTES OF CITY OF BASTROP PARKS AND PUBLIC TREE ADVISORY BOARD October 7, 2021 The Bastrop Parks and Public Tree Advisory Board met in a Regular Meeting on Thursday, October 7th, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. Members present were Barbara Wolanski, Betty Rucker, Jamie Creacy, Kerry Fossler and new Board Member Steven Fobert. Absent were Board Members Margaret Robinson, Sarah Rooney and Liaison Councilman Dock Jackson. Staff present were Curtis Hancock, Thomas Martinez and Terry Moore. 1. CALL TO ORDER At 6:00 p.m. Chair Barbara Wolanski called the meeting to order. 2. STAFF, BOARD, AND COMMITTEE MONTHLY OPERATIONAL REPORTS 2A. Parks and Recreation Report Report was given by staff Thomas Martinez. 2B. Bastrop State Park Report Report was given by Board Member Jamie Creacy. 2C. Recreation Report Report was given by staff Terry Moore. 2D. Bird City Coalition Report Report was given by Board Member Kerry Fossler. 2E. Council Liaison Report No report was given. 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS There were no citizen comments. 4. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES 4A. Consider action to approve Parks and Public Tree Advisory Board minutes from the September 2nd regular meeting. Motion was made by Board Member Jamie Creacy and seconded by Board Member Betty Rucker. Vote was unanimous. 5. ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION 5A. Update and discuss the Disc Golf in Bob Bryant Park. Public Works Director Curtis Hancock gave an update. New work day is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th at 7:00am at Bob Bryant Park. 5B. Update and discuss the Birding Blind in Bob Bryant Park. Public Works Director Curtis Hancock & Secretary Kerry Fossler gave an update.
