MINUTES OF CITY OF BASTROP PARKS AND PUBLIC TREE ADVISORY BOARD November 4, 2021 The Bastrop Parks and Public Tree Advisory Board reset in aWorkshop at 4: 30 p. m. at City Hall and a Regular Meeting, held at Fisherman' s Park on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 6:00 p. m. Members present were Barbara Wolanski, Betty Rucker, Jamie Creacy, Kerry Fossler, Margaret Robinson, Sarah Rooney, Steven Fobert and Liaison Councilman Dock Jackson. Staff present were Curtis Hancock, Thomas Martinez and Terry Moore. 1. CALL TO ORDER At4:32p. m. Chair Barbara Wolanksi called the special workshop to order. 2. SPECIAL WORKSHOP 2A. Parks Board began at Bastrop City Wall and traveled to each City Park, starting at Kerr Park and finishing at Fisherman' s Park. Chair Barbara Wolanski closed the special workshop at 6:06 p. m, and called the regular meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. STAFF AND BOARD BRIEFINGS 3A. Parks and Recreation Report Report was given by staff Thomas Martinez. 38. Bastrop Mate Park Report Report was given by Board Member Jamie Creacy. 3C. Recreation Report Report was given by staff Terry Moore. 3D. Bird City Coalition Report PePort was given by Board Member Kerry Fossler. 3E. Council Liaison Report Report was given; by Liaison Councilman Dock Jackson 4. CITIZEN COMMENTS There were no citizen comments. S. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES SA. Consider action to approve Parks and Public Tree Advisory Board minutes from the October 7, 2021 regular meeting. Motion was made by Board Member Betty Rucker and seconded by Board Member Jamie Crecy. Vote was unanimous. 6. ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION 6A. Update and discuss the Disc Golf in Bob Bryant Park Public Works Director Curtis Hancock gave an update. B. Update and discuss the signs for new trail named after Mrs. Dorothy Skarnulis Public Warks Director Curtis Hancock gave an update. 6C. Update and discuss Master Gardeners in Bob Bryant Park Public Warks Director Curtis Hancock gave an update. 6D. Update and discuss Christmas Lights. Public Works Director Curtis.. Hancock gave an update. 7. UPDATES 7A. invitation for input from Board Members related to issues for possible inclusion on the next meeting agenda. Public Works Director Curtis Hancock gathered the topics — pickleball, graffiti wall, Julius Thomas memorial, Parks roaster plan schedule 7. ADJOURNMENT Board Member Betty Rucker made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 6.41pm, Vice President Margaret Robinson seconded, The vote was unanimous.
