HOUSING BOARD OF APPEALS HEARING MINUTES November 19, 2014 CITY HALL 10 N. Approval of Minutes: Mr. Goodman made a motion to approve the minutes from October meeting, seconded by Mr. Harrison. Approved Old Business: 1. 125 Frelinghuysen Issue#EN14-09541 Code Compliance Officer: Todd Nowicki Property owner, Marcus Davidson, present. Todd Nowicki, Senior Code Officer, stated the property has had some work done but the roof still needs to be repaired. Mr. Nowicki recommended an extension until the weather breaks. Mr. Davidson stated he is waiting for a loan to be approved to fix his roof. Mr. Goodman made a motion to grant until May 19, 2015, seconded by Mr. Harrison. Extension granted. Mr. Francisco recommended an extension until May. Mr. Thurman stated he is in the probate process and is waiting for the property to be in his name so he can pull permits. Mr. Goodman made a motion to grant until May 19, 2015, seconded by Mr. Harrison. Extension granted. Elijah Martin, Code Officer, stated the property has had most work done and this is the second appearance of the property owner. Mr. Martin recommended an extension to April 14, 2015. Ms. LeBlanc stated she needed more time to paint. Mr. Goodman made a motion to affirm the order, there was no second. Mr. Chubinski made a motion to grant an extension until May 19, 2015, seconded by Mr. Goodman. Extension granted. Mr. Petriw stated he needs more time because he is doing custom work for the City. He will donate the house to the City. Mr. Petriw stated he needs until springtime. Goodman-y Chubinski-y Whitfield-y Harrison-y Public Comments: Robert Ashley, 24 LaSalle, made comments about filing an appeal so quickly and the letter is a bit vague. Mr. Ashley also noted the web site has problems. Ms. Silkworth explained the website and the Property Survey process. Mr. McKinley commented on the property survey process. Mr. McKinley also clarified the code officer working with the property owners. Mr. Goodman and Mr. Chubinski discussed the tolling period. Mr. McKinley discussed the Board options.
