MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Chris Dopp and Calvin Hardin
MEMBERS ABSENT:
STAFF PRESENT: Victoria Houser, City Clerk: Nancy Mullett, Labor Relations Attorney: Matt
Beauchamp, Battalion Chief: Fire Fighter Jeremy Pratt
CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Dopp called the meeting to order at 4:04 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Chairperson Dopp noted the first order of business was to approve the December 27, 2021 Civil
Service Commission minutes.
Comm. Hardin, supported by Comm. Dopp, made a motion to approve the Civil Service Commission
meeting minutes of December 27, 2021. All in favor, none opposed. Motion approved.
PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS
1. Neutral Member Applicant: John Joseph Schwarz
2. Neutral Member Applicant: Chris McCoy
3. Neutral Member Withdrawal: John Griffin
REPORTS: There were no reports.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: There was none.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Deliberation, and appointment, of Neutral Member of the Civil Service Commission
a. John Joseph Schwarz
b. Chris McCoy
Comm. Hardin, supported by Comm. Dopp, made a motion to postpone the interviews of the Neutral
members to the May 23, 2022 Civil Service Commission meeting. All in favor, none opposed.
Motion approved.
2. Certification of Candidates #6 through #10 on the “2021 Entry Level Fire Fighter Eligibility
List” (Sieloff, Teinert, Brophy, Hegner, Brecker)
Chairperson Dopp noted the next item was to certify candidates #6 through #10 on the “2021 Entry
Level Fire Fighter Eligibility List,” asking if there were any questions or comments.
Comm. Hardin, supported by Comm. Dopp, made a motion to certify candidates #6 through #10 on
the “2021 Entry Level Fire Fighter Eligibility List.” All in favor, none opposed. Motion approved.
3. Certify the Candidates #3 (Ramey) and #4 (Titus) on the “2021 Fire Captain Eligibility List”
Chairperson Dopp noted the next item was to certify Candidates #3 (Ramey) and #4 (Titus) on the
“2021 Fire Captain Eligibility List,” asking if there were any comments.
Comm. Hardin, supported by Comm. Dopp, made a motion to certify Candidates #3 (Ramey) and #4
(Titus) on the “2021 Fire Captain Eligibility List.” All in favor, none opposed. Motion approved.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Jonathan Baber, Deputy City Attorney, reminded the Commissioners that they were to comply with the
Open Meetings Act, stating that there was to be no communication between commissioners outside of the
public meeting.
COMMISSION COMMENT: There were no additional comments.
NEXT MEETING: May 23, 2022 at 4:00 PM.
ADJOURNMENT: Chairperson Dopp adjourned the meeting at 4:11 PM.
